URP Handbook
This student manual has been prepared for several reasons. It is meant to provide answers to a host of questions that may arise during a student’s time within the planning program at the University of Florida. It includes information on a wide range of student concerns and provides a detailed explanation of department requirements and applicable policies. However, the official policies of the department and the University of Florida are in the Graduate Catalog 2004-2005.
The manual also includes University rules and regulations, as well as program policies. These policies are effective and binding for all students in the University of Florida’s Urban and Regional Planning program entering in the 2004-2005 academic year. Students are bound by the policies in effect at the time they enter the program. Students should retain the copy of the manual provided them upon entry to the program for reference during the entire period of enrollment.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the information contained in the 2005 URP Student Handbook, please consult your faculty advisor or Professor Richard Schneider, the Urban and Regional Planning department’s Graduate Coordinator.
Policies and procedures have been developed by the department in order to enhance and facilitate your progress in completing the program. We hope your time in the program is an exhilarating and challenging education experience.
