Walking-the-Walk

The College of Design, Construction, and Planning strives to promote new human values and lifestyle choices in order to achieve a more harmonious relationship between man, nature, and the built environment. It is our opportunity and responsibility as designers of the built environment to protect the integrity of a place, its people, and its natural environment.

The construction of Rinker Hall, home to the Rinker School of Building Construction, was the beginning of a movement and may be seen as the defining moment in UF’s commitment to embrace LEED standards across campus. Please read further for more information on how the University of Florida is Greening the Campus.

In addition, the College of Design, Construction, and Planning is proud to offer numerous DCP Sustainability Initiatives, which include both student and faulty related organizations pursuing sustainable practices.
