About . . . Eileen McGurty

Eileen McGurty is associate chair of the graduate program in environmental science and policy at Johns Hopkins University . Her areas of interest include environmental justice, urban environmental history, and waste management. She has published articles in Environmental History, Journal of Planning History, Society and Natural Resources, and Historical Geography, among others. Her current book project, to be published by Rutgers University Press, is The Origins of Environmental Justice and Transformation of American Environmentalism.
