UF interior design, landscape architecture programs rank nationally

January 29, 2009
The University of Florida’s graduate program in interior design was ranked 10th in DesignIntelligence’s 10th annual America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools 2009 survey. This is the third year in a row the program ranked in the top 10 for interior design programs across the country.

In addition, the undergraduate program in landscape architecture was ranked 14th. This is the second year in the row the program ranked in the nation’s top 15 programs.

The DesignIntelligence survey ranks accredited undergraduate and graduate design programs from the perspective of practitioners working at leading firms in each field. Respondents are required to be highly involved in the hiring and performance of graduates and are asked to indicate which schools produce the most prepared graduates.

To celebrate the 10th annual DesignIntelligence school rankings, the publication included “The Cramer Report: America’s World-Class Schools of Architecture,” which recognized the UF School of Architecture as a world-class program with notable distinction. The listing was determined by current and historical rankings by professional practices, rankings by academic deans and chairs, campus environment and student evaluations, and program accreditation.
