LAA 2340: Rendering and Presentation
2 credits, lab
As a parallel course to LAA2360 (Introduction to Landscape Architecture
Studio), students will develop appropriate techniques in landscape
graphics, rendering and presentation format. The material will have
lecture and desk demonstrations of all types of hand and computer
graphic techniques.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Diagram Graphics
- Analysis Graphics
- Plan Graphics
- trees: evergreen, canopy, specimen, flowering, massing &
individual
- shrubs & ground covers texture studies, massing studies
- hardscape
- people, site furniture, etc.
- Section/Elevation Graphics
- trees silhouettes, structure, structure & foilage, texture
studies
- shrubs & ground covers
- hardscape
- people, site furniture, etc.
- labeling techniques
- Perspective Sketching
- orthographic projection and aerial perspective (tilt-up)
- topographic changes, trees, shrubs & ground covers, structures,
people/site furniture
Special Graphics
- collage, xeroxing, photography, charcoal, ebony pencil,
shadows studies, texture studies, material studies, mood drawings
- Drafting
- materials (paper, pencil, ink, etc.)
