Teaching Area Design
I received my Bachelors of Architecture from the University
of Illinois in 1961 and my Masters of Architecture form the
University of California/Berkeley of 1964. That fall I joined
the Faculty here at Florida as an Instructor in Architecture.
I have been a visiting Professor at Louisiana State University
and the University of California/Berkeley. My major architectural
interests have been in the teaching of Design [at all levels
of the program], Environment and Behavioral Research in the
are of Children?s Play Environments, and the Design and Construction
of Play Environments for Disabled Children. I am also a Ceramic
Artist represented by several Art Galleries in Florida. Currently
I teach Design and Environment & Behavior Research, and
am a graduate Adviser. I also act as a liaison to the profession
visiting architectural firms and fundraising. An ongoing activity
is a manuscript preliminarily entitled; The Architecture of
California Wineries; from Mission to Postmodern and Beyond.
