GRADUATE COMBINED DEGREE

The 4+1 program is a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program of study, which allows undergraduate students in interior design at the University of Florida to take graduate-level courses prior to completion of the bachelor’s degree and to count 12 graduate credits towards both degrees. If admitted, students are required to complete 6 graduate credits in the fall semester and 6 graduate credits in the spring semester of their senior year (Ietter-graded A, B+ or B). After the baccalaureate degree is awarded, students must complete an additional 24 hours of graduate credit hours consisting of coursework and a written thesis with a research component. Students should expect at least one additional year to complete the Master of Interior Design.
