Scholarships and Portfolio Awards are available annually. Most Portfolio Awards require submission of a complete project from an interior design studio course. Portfolio Awards are made each spring semester at the College Awards Ceremony, and require submission of a project from an interior design studio course. .

Barbara A. and John M. Cirino Scholarship

 

 

Eligibility: Entering freshman, sophomores and upper division majors with demonstrated financial need, academic performance and a GPA of 2.9 or above.

The department will notify potential candidates that meet all requirements.

Value: $1,000 per semester or 2,000 per academic year.

Gini Pettus Portfolio Award

 

An award given to sophomores, juniors and seniors for the outstanding incorporation of significant art in an interior designed in studio classes.

Eligibility: Any major enrolled in IND 2214, IND 3216 and IND 4226 during spring semester each year.

Contact: Department Office and faculty in charge of courses.

Value: Awards range from $250-1000.

NEWH
Network of Executive Women in Hospitality Scholarship

 
 

Eligibility: NEWH Chapters award scholarships annually based upon the following criteria:

  • Must have completed half the requirements for a degree or certification program in which enrolled
  • Must have real financial need
  • Must have a 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Must have a career objective in the Hospitality Industry (i.e., Hotel/Restaurant Management, Culinary, Food Service, Architecture, Design, etc.)

Each Chapter may award Scholarships for the Fall year semester, based on the financial ability of the Chapter to fund such scholarship awards.

Scholarship types are the Community College, or their equivalents, and the Baccalaureate College and are for students majoring in the Hospitality, Foodservice or related fields.

Central Florida Builders Exchange Award

 
 

This award recognizes Florida residents, with preference to students from Orange, Seminole or Osceola counties and a minimum GPA of 3.5 or better.

ASID Student Scholarship

 

Eligibility: The Department of Interior Design will select a student. The selection of that student will be based on need and ability in the study of interior design. The recipient must be a student member of ASID to be eligible.

Value: One scholarship in the amount of $500.00 will be given to a junior or a senior in the interior design program.

ASID Meredith Lacey Award

 
 

Eligibility: The Department of Interior Design will submit the name of one outstanding student as a candidate to complete for this award. The student must be a senior and be a member of ASID

The portfolios are judged on presentation skills, depth of portfolio, and quality of work.

Value: The award will be $750.00
