Book Exhibit
The Conference will offer participants and publishers the opportunity to display recent publications, as well as to post information about program activities, in the Book Exhibit. Publishers can secure a table staffed by their own representative during the conference for a $175 fee. To secure a space, contact the Book Exhibit Manager, Kathy Dispennette at iphs@comcast.net or by phone, 850-385-2054.
Authors are encouraged to contact their publishers to send display copies of publications which will be managed by Conference staff if a publisher representative is not on site. If participants want assistance in contacting publishers, please send your name, the book title, publication date and publisher, to Nancy Kwak, kwak@poly.edu or kwak161@gmail.com She will be sure that appropriate publishers have the correct address to send books so that they do get displayed. In case authors choose to contact the publisher directly, all books for the exhibit should be sent to Dr. Robert Bruegmann, IPHS 2008 Conference, UIC Department of Art History (M/C 201), 935 W. Harrison, Chicago, IL 60607-7039.
Participants will have a chance to bid on display books (at a reduced price) in order to generate funds to support the conference. Except where publishers representatives bring and manage book displays, all the exhibited publications will be a donation to the conference and available for the discount sale at the close of the conference.
